Elizabeth Sparks-Holmes announced her candidacy for Congress in Missouri's 2nd District, emphasizing accessible, responsive service for local families.
St. Louis, MO - Elizabeth Sparks-Holmes, a longtime St. Louis-area resident, mother, and community member, announced her candidacy for Congress in Missouri's 2nd Congressional District.
Sparks-Holmes said Missouri has been her home for more than 34 years and described the district as the place where she and her husband raised their son and built meaningful relationships across the community.
"I'm running for Congress because I believe in the people of this district and want to serve the community that has given so much to my family," Sparks-Holmes said.
Originally from Fort Worth, Texas, Sparks-Holmes studied at Randolph-Macon Woman's College and Texas Christian University before making Missouri her home. She has said her commitment to public service was shaped by family examples of civic responsibility, faith, and community care.
Sparks-Holmes said her campaign will focus on staying connected to the St. Louis community, keeping her office accessible, and delivering reliable, responsive service for families, seniors, small business owners, veterans, caregivers, and neighbors across the district.
"Families are working so hard, managing their budgets, and planning for the future," Sparks-Holmes said. "They deserve leadership that reflects those priorities and a representative who is focused on the needs of everyday people."
Sparks-Holmes is seeking the Republican nomination in Missouri's 2nd Congressional District.
